John W. Puziss, Ph.D.
Dr. Puziss is the Executive Director of Business Development at Yale Ventures, where he leads a team of professionals who are responsible for the advancement and commercialization of technologies developed at Yale. He is a recognized expert in licensing university technologies and in academic-corporate research collaborations. He has been a member of Yale Ventures since 2001, is a member of Yale’s Conflict of Interest Committee, and is on the Board of Directors of ReNetX, Inc, a Yale spinout developing therapies for spinal cord injury, stroke, and glaucoma; and MindNest Health, a Yale spinout that is commercializing online digital behavioural training for parents. Prior to joining Yale, he was an Associate in Business Development and Marketing at Proteome, Inc., and a Senior Research Investigator in anti-infective drug discovery at Bristol-Myers Squibb Company. Dr. Puziss received his B.S. cum laude in Microbiology from the University of Rochester, and his Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. He was an American Cancer Society postdoctoral fellow in the Dept. of Molecular Biology and Genetics at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
