Innovators Ignite

On March 31, 2022 from 11am - 1pm EST, Princeton University and Yale University are joining forces to host Innovators Ignite! The virtual event will feature PIs who are behind the top emerging technologies within their institutions. Each innovator will pitch their idea to an expert industry panel and audience. We have no doubt this will be an unparalleled learning experience for all involved. The Yale/Princeton Innovators Ignite is being co-hosted by Yale Venture, Yale's amplifyHERscience, Princeton Office of Technology Licensing, and Princeton Entrepreneurship Council. The event is sponsored by Hamilton Brook Smith Reynolds and Pabst Patent Group.

 

Innovators Ignite is a pitch event in which aspiring innovators from two academic institutions are brought together to present their concept or company live to a panel of industry experts. This next East Coast iteration of Innovators Ignite will bring together innovators from Yale and Princeton! The goal is to promote these innovators at both institutes while harvesting the power of both networks. Leading up to the event, organizers will pair the selected innovators with appropriate mentors who can advise innovators on their pitch content and presentation skills. This event is indication, stage, and modality agnostic, however we anticipate a focus on earlier stage technologies.  We hope to provide the platform, connections, and personalized mentorship needed to take ideas to the next inflection point to positively impact society. 

We strongly encourage participation from individuals who contribute to the Universities' diversity, broadly defined, including members of groups that have been historically, and are presently, underrepresented in entrepreneurship including women and minorities.

 

INNOVATOR (applicant) CRITERIA:

  • Must be a member of the Yale or Princeton campus-based communities: Faculty, PostDoc, Grad Student, Researcher.
  • Must have an idea/project/company at any stage to present. The event is stage-agnostic. A core component of the Innovators Ignite program includes a robust mentorship experience, so our experts will meet you where you are in your journey to help you move forward. 

  • Must be available to pitch live via Zoom on March 31st between 11am - 1pm ET. 

  • Should be ready to learn, teach, forge connections, and make professional progress! *Positivity is a core requirement!

  • DEADLINE TO APPLY IS MARCH 6 at 11:59 PM PT.
