Annual Yale Innovation Events
Yale Healthcare Hackathon
January 26 – 28
The Yale Center for Biomedical Innovation & Technology (CBIT) has led and organized the Yale Healthcare Hackathon since 2014, bringing together over 2500 participants to hack on the greatest needs in digital therapeutics, personalized therapy, women's health, and patient monitoring.
Yale Startup Matchmaking
February 8
Co-hosted by Tsai CITY, Yale CS Career Fair, Yale Center for Biomedical Innovation & Technology, Yale SOM Program on Entrepreneurship, Yale Ventures, this event is designed to foster connections between students and faculty in the Yale entrepreneurial ecosystem. Registration is open to the Yale community and refreshments will be served.
YHack
March 29 – 31
YHack marks the 10th annual Yale Hackathon. We invite all students who share our passion for innovation and learning to immerse yourselves in an energetic atmosphere, learning and creating alongside individuals as passionate as yourselves. Expect a myriad of spectacular rewards, deeply technical workshops, renowned guest speakers, and engaging activities throughout the event.
Startup Yale
April 4
Startup Yale inspires students to advance their innovations by providing funding, mentorship, and networking opportunities to bring together the greater Yale and New Haven innovation community to amplify the impact of game-changing ventures or initiatives.
Yale Innovation Summit
May 29 – 30
The Yale Innovation Summit convenes the Northeast’s innovation and entrepreneurship community for two days of impactful conversations, purposeful networking, and Yale pitch competition across five tracks of programming. Celebrating its 10th year this year, the event has become one of the region’s biggest and most impactful innovation events, drawing investors, founders, and industry partners to Yale’s campus to create new connections and opportunities.
Yale Faculty Innovation Awards
October 3
Each year faculty across Yale develop new technologies and launch startups addressing global challenges. From improving human health and addressing climate change, to building the future of quantum computing, these companies are poised to change the world. The annual Yale Faculty Innovation Awards are an opportunity to recognize the significant contributions of these faculty investigators who bring these discoveries to market and launch Yale innovation into the world.
Yale Clean Energy Conference
November 10 - 11

Yale Life Sciences Pitchfest
December 5
The annual Yale Life Sciences Pitchfest is a one-day event held each December to showcase Yale faculty innovators presenting breakthrough research projects in therapeutics, medical devices, and digital health.
Yale Ventures Innovation Series
Collaborative CT is a causal monthly networking mixer that brings together 200+ innovators and entrepreneurs from CEOs to students for purposeful collaboration and conversations. The 2024 kick-off is scheduled for January 18th. RSVP now.
Elevator Pitch Intensive
Hosted by amplifyHERscience, the Elevator Pitch Intensive will help aspiring entrepreneurs hone the fundamentals of their innovation through the development of a 30 second elevator pitch. This is a completely safe space and no judgment zone to toss out ideas, ask questions, and learn from one another.
Innovation and Entrepreneurship Seminar Series
The Department of Pathology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Seminar Series presents first-hand experiences from Yale faculty entrepreneurs who will share their unique journey from scientist to entrepreneur—what worked, what didn’t, what resources were needed—as they translated their research from bench to bedside. Each seminar will feature a Yale faculty speaker and audience Q&A followed by networking time for all attendees following each seminar.

IP Insights
IP Insights is an educational series developed and run by Yale Ventures dedicated to informing and advising the Yale community on Intellectual Property, from the fundamentals of filing to prosecution, inventorship to commercialization, and other related topics.
