Reed Jobs Announced as Biotech Keynote Speaker for 2025 Yale Innovation Summit

Yale Ventures is pleased to announce Reed Jobs, founder and managing partner of cancer-focused venture fund Yosemite, as the keynote speaker for the biotech track at this year’s Yale Innovation Summit, taking place May 28–29, 2025, on Yale University’s campus.
Drawing from his personal experience and lifelong commitment to transformative healthcare solutions, Jobs has positioned Yosemite as a leader in biotech investment. The firm fosters collaborations among scientists, entrepreneurs, and investors to bring cutting-edge therapies to market. Yosemite takes a unique approach—while operating as a traditional venture fund, it also dedicates a percentage of ots capital to a donor-advised fund, enabling no-strings-attached grantmaking to further advance cancer research and treatment breakthroughs.
We are at a critical juncture where trailblazing initiatives within the research community are under a microscope,” Jobs said. “When you look at the innovations that impact the patient experience, they are often led by founders with the right support to scale strategically. I believe that the best way to make cancer non-lethal in our lifetimes is to enable flexible funding, from grantmaking through venture capital, that spurs innovation at every stage of development.
In a fireside chat with Nancy J. Brown, MD, Dean of the Yale School of Medicine on May 28 at 11 AM, Jobs will share insights into the evolving landscape of biotech entrepreneurship, the critical role of venture investment in healthcare innovation, and Yosemite’s bold approach to funding the next generation of cancer therapies. His perspective on the intersection of science, philanthropy, and investment offers a compelling vision for how capital can catalyze real change in patient outcomes.
“Reed Jobs is championing a new model for biotech investment—one that prioritizes scientific breakthroughs and patient outcomes. His leadership in the field makes him an exciting and inspiring keynote for this year’s biotech track, and we look forward to his insights on the future of healthcare innovation,” said Morag Grassie, Yale Ventures director of the Blavatnik Fund for Innovation and the lead for the event’s biotech programming.
The Yale Innovation Summit, taking place on May 28–29, 2025, is the Northeast’s premier event for innovation and entrepreneurship. Held on Yale University’s campus, the Summit brings together visionaries, investors, founders, and industry leaders for two days of discovery, connection, and opportunity. Featuring six programming tracks—arts, biotech, civic, climate, health, and technology—the event showcases panels, keynotes, and pitch competitions highlighting cutting-edge ideas across industries.
