Jennifer Strauss is thrilled to join Yale Ventures as an Associate Corporate Strategy Officer. Before joining Yale, she spent six years in the biotech industry and excels in driving strategic initiatives and fostering stakeholder collaboration. Jennifer most recently provided a consultancy at Moderna Therapeutics to design and implement a company-wide scientific communications platform. From 2018-2023 she worked at Biohaven Pharmaceuticals, through IPO and subsequent successful acquisition and data transfer to Pfizer Inc. At Biohaven she held roles in both corporate and medical affairs and her contributions spanned startup activities, scientific and commercial project launches, clinical operations, and market strategy. 
Before her career in business, Jennifer worked with UN implementing partner organizations in disaster preparedness and novel health systems delivery in rural economies and refugee instances. She was based in Tel Aviv, Israel and Lilongwe, Malawi and her work spanned the Middle East and sub-Saharan Africa. 
Jennifer’s education is in Public Health, Epidemiology and International Development, all her work is underscored by a personal commitment to human equality and environmental sustainability.
Outside of work, Jennifer is a mother to two young children, a shepherd mix and lots of chickens. She enjoys baking, music festivals, literary fiction, traveling, backpacking, skiing, paddlesports and other human-powered adventures.
