Cecilia joins Yale Ventures as Licensing Compliance Manager with nearly a decade of experience in licensing management and a strong background in patent pool litigation. She is proficient in contract compliance, licensee and client facing care, and data synthesization.
Prior to Yale, Cecilia spent eight years with a prominent video codec licensing administrator based in Boston, Access Advance. She joined Advance as an undergraduate intern and was promoted several times throughout her tenure. She ultimately served as Senior Compliance Specialist, responsible for monitoring contractual adherence of hundreds of licensees, identifying and recovering royalties via formal and desk audits, as well as presenting data at in-person biannual board meetings. Previously, during her time at Boston College, Cecilia worked on several qualitative health research studies focused on the lived experiences of individuals who tested positive for the BRCA gene mutation under the Director of Women’s and Gender Studies program. Outside of her professional interests, Cecilia is passionate about healthy equity and serves on the Young Professionals Executive Committee at the Genesis Foundation for Children. This organization connects children and families with rare genetic disorders to both medical support and diverse psychosocial resources to help them truly thrive.
