Sandy Grindley is an executive with experience in the life science equipment and medical devices industries. He has worked as a CFO, private equity investor, and product lead.  Grindley is currently the CFO at HighRes Biosolutions, a private equity owned provider of lab automation equipment and software for Big Pharma / emerging biotech – everything from automated pipettes to large scale robotic systems.  During his tenure, HighRes has roughly 5x'ed in size and increased headcount from 65 to 300 employees. As CFO, he has raised capital, set pricing, built out new departments, and set long-term strategic direction for the enterprise.  Prior to becoming CFO, Grindley was product manager overseeing the launch of Prime – a large scale automated pipettor – and grew the business line to ~$10M in revenue over 2.5 years, while directing the development of both the hardware and software.  

Before joining HighRes, Grindley was a private equity investor at Axel Johnson Inc. where he was heavily involved in the HighRes acquisition in 2015, as well as several other buyouts in the food and medical device space. Grindley began his career as a consultant in the Health and Life Science practice at Oliver Wyman, a large management / strategy consulting firm. He holds an undergraduate degree in biology from Yale (class of 2007; Morse College) and was born and raised just outside of New Haven, in Branford CT.
