Ashok recently retired from his last position as the Global Innovation Leader at DuPont, where he oversaw a portfolio of 110 programs and ventures, valued at over $350MM. He has been involved in leading and managing innovation at DuPont for over 30 years. Currently, he is serving as Entrepreneur-in-Residence and Business Mentor for several startup teams across a number of incubators and accelerators. While at DuPont, he leveraged his own experience in launching new products and new businesses to coach a large number of global teams to commercialize their innovative ideas across a variety of domains and deliver $40-$50MM in annual revenue. Prior to his role as Global Innovation Leader, he led a $16MM Life Sciences business during which time he completed the integration of a $20MM acquisition. He has a passion for learning and trying new approaches to solve long standing problems. His areas of expertise include portfolio management and optimization, rapid opportunity identification and risk mitigation, early- and late-stage business modeling and validation, lean startup, scale-up, and marketing strategy and optimization. As a result, his career has included new business development, new product development, marketing, business strategy, and technology leadership roles in businesses serving a variety of industries such as healthcare, automotive, construction, worker safety, environmental protection, specialty chemicals, and packaging.
