Muthu Venkatachalapathy, PhD (he/his)

Muthu Venkatachalapathy is an associate research scientist at Yale, working with Professor Craig Crews to develop heterobifunctional molecules for applications in clinical oncology.

He began his industrial career at Novartis as a senior scientific writer and project lead writing U.S. grants, manuscripts, posters in hematology and infectious disease department. He actively participated in their hackathon contests and has developed working prototypes (PIEZO) to measure fatigue in multiple sclerosis patients. In 2021, his fascination for targeted protein degradation and entrepreneurship inspired him to return to academia, where he is currently working at Yale University with Professor Craig Crews.

Muthu holds a PhD in Chemical Biology from Max Planck Institute for Molecular Physiology, Dortmund and received a Fulbright award to work at University of Chicago.
