Ngozi Akingbesote (she/her) 

Ngozi earned a Biology degree with distinction from the University of Virginia. She worked as an undergraduate researcher in Dr. Mete Civelek's Lab exploring the genetic basis of diseases such as obesity and atherosclerosis. She has held intern positions at both California Institute of Technology and Oak Ridge National Laboratory.

Ngzie is currently a third-year PhD Student working in Dr. Rachel Perry's Lab at Yale School of Medicine. Her thesis research is focused to exploring how to utilize aerobic exercise to increase the efficacy of immunotherapy in triple negative breast cancer.
