Yuan Liu is an early-stage investor at Hypertherm Ventures, where he focuses on startups at the intersection of deep tech and industrial applications. His investment areas include robotics, AI/ML, additive manufacturing, industrial IoT, advanced materials, and climate tech. Liu was previously a Venture for America Fellow and co-founder of Gregory, an Edtech startup building chatbots for students.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Middlebury College, Bachelor of Engineering in Environmental Engineering from Dartmouth College, and MBA from Yale School of Management.
