Non-invasive fetal electroencephalogram (EEG)

Our goal is to eliminate preventable brain injury at birth. Fetal heart rate monitoring is used in 90% of labors to assess the baby's neurological health. Despite decades of use, it has not decreased fetal brain injury. Electroencephalogram (EEG), measuring brain waves via electrodes, is a more accurate and earlier indicator of the baby's neurological health. But the proven method was invasive, requiring a scalp electrode on the baby, and was not feasible at scale or in varying fetal positions. We have developed a new, non-invasive method & technology that harnesses the clinical promise of EEG without compromising the health of the mother or baby.
