Another company to watch is Protein Evolution, an 18-month-old company that hails from New Haven, Connecticut. It has about $25 million in early funding and has attracted the attention of U.K. brand Stella McCartney, collaborating with Protein Evolution to turn leftover nylon and polyester into materials for new collections.
