Robert joined Burns McClellan in July 2018 and is responsible for leading the corporate communications/public relations team. Robert has more than 15 years of experience in life science investor relations and public relations, at The Ruth Group and Russo Partners, providing communications counsel and strategy to diverse life sciences companies and executing inter-disciplinary programs combining his scientific training and substantial skills in both PR and IR. His career has included four years as an associate sell-side analyst covering biotechnology at Prudential Securities and pharmaceuticals at Sandford Bernstein and nine years as a buy-side analyst covering all sectors of healthcare across a wide market capitalization range for two mutual funds, Evergreen Asset Management and the Guardian Park Avenue Funds. Robert completed his Ph.D. in neurobiology at Cornell; his research was a finalist for the Lindsey Prize for best neuroscience Ph.D. thesis. He also pursued post-doctoral work at Yale University School of Medicine and earned his MBA from Columbia University Business School.
