HealthTech Works is Yale’s dedicated accelerator for health technology innovation, empowering Yale faculty to translate breakthrough research into practical, scalable, and validated solutions.

Built on the foundation of the former Center for Biomedical Innovation and Technology (CBIT), HealthTech Works combines world-class mentorship, strategic industry engagement, and a commercialization studio to translate faculty-led research into impactful, real-world solutions. Innovators benefit from milestone-based grants, clinical and business mentorship, access to investors and regulatory experts, and collaboration with target customers to address validated healthcare challenges.

Led by a cross-school leadership team and advised by a board of industry leaders, HealthTech Works strengthens Yale’s capacity to bring health innovation to market—enhancing patient outcomes, reducing system inefficiencies, and discovering new pathways to treat disease.

Yale is actively recruiting for the founding director of the accelerator. People with experience and expertise building healthtech companies and/or investing in related technology who enjoy coaching and mentoring scientific founders are encouraged to apply.

HealthTech Works is made possible by a generous gift from the Morse Family Foundation, representing two generations of Yale alumni from the Yale College classes of 1977, 2010, 2012, 2013, and 2017 and Yale School of Medicine Class of 2019. Additional support is provided by Raj and Indra Nooyi ’80 MBA, Faiz Kayyem ’85, and Richard Gliklich ’83.
