Laura Stevens, PhD
Dr. Laura Stevens, earned her PhD from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, where she studied tissue regeneration and wound healing. Before joining Yale Ventures, she helped build two venture-backed, Boston-based early-stage biotechs advancing small-molecule therapeutics for autoimmune and inflammatory diseases—first as a Senior Research Scientist and Immunology Supervisor, and later as a Lab and Business Operations Manager overseeing cross-functional teams, high-throughput screening collaborations, contract negotiations, and laboratory execution. She also served as Senior Project Manager, Business Development at BioLabs, where she managed the business development portfolio, led expansion across North America and Asia, and scaled a new accelerator-program vertical supporting biotech startups globally.
Currently a Blavatnik Fellow at Yale Ventures, Dr. Stevens brings a bench-to-business perspective focused on development strategy and business model design to de-risk therapeutics for successful commercialization.
