Aaron Mathias is a biotechnology leader with a background in drug development, data science and life science consulting. He is currently a Senior Director of Biopharma Partnerships at nference, an AI-focused biomedical research and technology company.

Prior to that, he was the Head of R&D Strategy and Business Development at Thetis Pharmaceuticals, a venture-backed biotechnology company developing novel therapies for autoimmune disease and cancer. As the first employee at Thetis, he helped the company raise over $20 million in capital and advance multiple drug candidates from discovery to clinical stage. 

Prior to joining Thetis, he was a consultant at the Monitor Group (part of Deloitte Consulting), where he worked with Fortune 100 pharmaceutical companies. He received a M.S. in biomedical engineering from Yale University and a B.A. in economics and political science from Amherst College (summa cum laude).
