Meera Swaminath (she/her/hers)

Meera Swaminath is a current Horstmann Scholar at Yale University, pursuing a Master of Public Health (2023). Previously, Meera graduated from the University of California, San Diego (UC San Diego, 2020) with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health and honors in the highest distinction.  

At Yale Ventures, Meera works at the intersection of science and business marketing, where she synthesizes key scientific data for investors interested in Yale’s cutting-edge technological innovations. At the Yale Consumer Health Informatics Lab and Yale School of Medicine, she creates digital health tools in the areas of minority health and Type 1 Diabetes. Meera has engaged with Yale startups as part of the Yale Graduate Consulting Club and serves as an elected Senator at the Yale Graduate Senate representing the School of Public Health. Upon graduation, Meera will be working in life sciences strategy consulting. Before starting graduate school, Meera worked as a Business and Technology Analyst at a Fortune 500 company.  

Meera is very passionate about how new healthcare and life-sciences ventures can positively improve the health of vulnerable communities. She is excited to work at the intersections of healthcare, life sciences, and technology, and hopes to combine her experiences and skills to positively contribute to the world around her.
