Michelle Levine, Solasta Ventures
Michelle joined Solasta in 2020 and currently serves as Senior Associate. Previously, she was a Consultant at ClearView Healthcare Partners, a life sciences strategy consultancy, serving clients ranging from biotech startups to large pharma. Michelle's prior venture capital experience includes her role as a business analyst intern at Merieux Equity Partners, a life sciences-focused fund, and at Acidophil, a biotech company creation and investment firm co-founded by Nobel Laureate Dr. Sydney Brenner.
Prior to her roles in VC and consulting, Michelle spent almost a decade as a molecular biologist. She started her scientific career in Dr. Berliner's laboratory at Brigham and Women's Hospital, focused on basic and translational research in hematology-oncology. She then went on to earn her Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and Genetics at Johns Hopkins University, School of Medicine. At Hopkins, her thesis work in Dr. Andrew Holland's laboratory focused on characterizing the role of defective cell division machinery in tumorigenesis. Michelle also holds a B.A. in Biology from Boston College.
