General Neuro

General Neuro is building NeuroLingo, a wearable brain stimulation headband that primes the brain for language learning and accelerates language acquisition through cutting-edge neurostimulation.

Learning a new language as an adult is slow, frustrating, and often abandoned. Existing apps provide content for learning but ignore the biological constraints that make adult language acquisition difficult—chiefly, the brain’s reduced ability to absorb new linguistic information with age.

NeuroLingo enhances the brain’s natural capacity to learn languages through targeted, non-invasive brain stimulation. By activating language-related brain regions during app-based lessons, NeuroLingo strengthens retention and accelerates learning. The patent-pending device is lightweight, comfortable, and designed to integrate seamlessly into any language learning routine. Built by experts in neuroscience and engineering, NeuroLingo brings the latest advances in brain science to consumer education.

The company has a fully developed product and is preparing for launch. The founding team includes neuroscientists and engineers from Yale, with a track record in noninvasive brain stimulation and wearable technology development. Because NeuroLingo is content-agnostic, General Neuro has begun partnerships with language learning platforms serving over 45 million users globally.

NeuroLingo is redefining what’s possible in human learning—starting with what most connects us: language.
