Oni was Chief Executive Officer, and subsequently Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of Aventri, a global leader in enterprise B2B event management SaaS software for businesses, with offices in the US, Europe and Asia. At Aventri, Oni led a comprehensive transformation, market rebrand and the emergence of the company as one of the foremost global SaaS leaders in the enterprise Event Management Software (EMS) industry – through product innovation leadership, strong organic revenue and customer growth, sustained international expansion and a product-focused M&A strategy. Oni completed a successful majority sale of Aventri to a large mid-market private equity firm.    

Oni was Executive Vice President & CFO of Triple Point Technology, the global fin-tech leader in enterprise Commodities Management Software. As a foundational partner with Triple Point Technology’s co-founder, Oni was instrumental in implementing and shepherding the company’s record-setting, industry-leading revenue and earnings growth over seven consecutive high-growth years, including leading and successfully integrating eight cross-border acquisitions in six continents - leading the company to seven consecutive INC 500 Awards. Oni spearheaded 2 large and successful sell-side transactions at Triple Point – including a final sale for one Billion dollars to a strategic buyer in July 2013.

Previously Oni served in top leadership roles for several startup enterprise software companies that subsequently enjoyed very successful growth and lucrative exits, including Netkey Technology Corp. and Healthcare Software Synergies (acquired by NEC and United Healthcare respectively). 

Oni currently serves on the Board of Directors of fintech leader AvidXchange (Nasdaq: “AVDX”). He also serves on the BODs of PE-backed technology companies including - Invafresh (Canada); Opus (US); and Pole Star Global (UK).  until its recent acquisition in 2023, Oni was a member of the Board of Directors of Paya (Nasdaq: “PAYA”). Previously, Oni was  Executive BOD chair and principal investor of ExagoBI, a provider of enterprise-embedded SaaS business intelligence software. 

Oni’s family philanthropy, AfricaPlan Foundation, actively works to create opportunities for underprivileged youth and college graduates in West Africa, through fully-funded immersive coding boot camps and leadership development, to prepare them for entry into lucrative technology careers and entrepreneurship. Oni also serves on the board of DOMUS (a not-for-profit entity in education for at-risk youth in CT), and is also a Trustee of The University of New Haven.
