Targeting cancer stroma to prevent metastatic escape

Cows and horses get cancer, but it does not become malignant. Based on evolutionary approaches, we have identified a molecular target that prevents cancer malignancy by endowing the  fibroblasts to resist invasion. We have successfully tested the molecular target in organoid models, animal tests are ongoing. Having identified small molecular candidates, we plan to synthesize analogs, test inhibition efficiency, and test the therapy in vivo to position for preclinical large animal, or human trials.
