Michelle McQueen
Michelle spearheads marketing and communications efforts for faculty innovation and entrepreneurship at Yale. She is also a founding member of Yale's amplifyHERscience, a program dedicated to supporting and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in science and entrepreneurial pursuits. Michelle joins Yale University after exiting DavEllePR, a boutique communications firm she co-founded in 2009. There, she managed results-driven, comprehensive communication programs for experts, startups and established brands alike. Her core competencies include communications’ program development and execution, event and conference coordination, media relations, community engagement, strategic marketing, and social media management. Before her stint as an entrepreneur, Michelle worked for public relations firm, Abelson Group, managing international media relations efforts for technology companies. Michelle has received accolades for her entrepreneurial and DEI efforts in Yale Daily News, Tech Transfer Central, and for her communications skills in Bulldog Reporter, PR Week and AOL News. She has also guest lectured at New York University.
Michelle is a cum laude graduate of Hofstra University, and lives on the Connecticut coast with her husband and two kids.
