Nancy holds a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where her research focused on applying integrative genomic approaches to Genome-Wide Association Studies (GWAS) to uncover the biological mechanisms underlying psychiatric and substance use disorders. She brings experience across venture capital, biotech equity research, and early-stage company evaluation. She has supported diligence and investment research efforts through roles at Bright Venture Capital and the NIH Small Business Education and Entrepreneurship Office, where she evaluated digital health companies and early-stage biotech and contributed to commercialization strategy and venture development. Outside of her primary work, she is passionate about expanding access to STEM education globally and has led initiatives focused on increasing opportunities in genetics and science education for all.
