Michael Farruggia is an Alliance Manager in the Corporate Strategy and Engagement Office, where he develops and manages industry partnerships that advance research and innovation in support of Yale Ventures’ mission to translate scientific discovery into real-world impact. He works closely with Yale faculty and industry partners to facilitate collaborations and connect scientific opportunities with resources to accelerate their development.

Michael’s career spans scientific research and biotechnology across academia and industry. Prior to joining Yale Ventures, he worked in the biotechnology sector, supporting strategic initiatives and partnerships at the intersection of science and business. Earlier in his career, he conducted neuroscience research at Yale University focused on the neural mechanisms underlying taste, flavor, and obesity.

Michael holds a PhD in Neuroscience and an MBA from Yale University and earned his undergraduate degree from Duke University, where he studied Neuroscience and Biology. Outside of work, Michael is a passionate soccer fan and enjoys spending time with his three-year-old dog and two parrots. He also enjoys nature, landscaping, and reading.
