Psychedelics are poised to remake psychiatry, but the "trip" is a barrier to large-scale healthcare use. Every investor in this area is looking for a non-hallucinogenic novel serotonergic drug, as evidenced by a recent $1B acquisition by Otsuka Pharmaceuticals. We have a paper just accepted and Yale patent application for a combination drug with another receptor that suppresses the hallucinations. With the help of this accelerator award, we will use computational docking in concert with our in vivo animal platform to advance a novel drug that hits both receptors and produces a non-hallucinogenic psychedelic drug effect
