AstroScope: A novel Neurodiagnostic Platform

AstroScope is a Yale-developed neurodiagnostic platform that isolates cell-specific exosomes from blood to provide a real-time molecular readout of brain pathology. By profiling the molecular cargo of astrocyte-derived exosomes, AstroScope enables a “liquid biopsy” of the central nervous system. This technology supports early diagnosis and disease monitoring in multiple sclerosis, neuropsychiatric long Covid, ALS, CNS aging and other neurodegenerative disorders. With Blavatnik support ($150–300K over 12–24 months), we will complete analytical validation across multiple CNS cell types, generate new Yale intellectual property, and build a cross-disease dataset to drive SBIR funding and attract industry partnerships for diagnostic development.
